The pioneer of Pegasus Divine Steed Art and romantic painter-Mr.Liu Songlin, born in Beijing, China in 1960, is a Chinese Australian and a famous Australian calligrapher and painter. His artworks are known as "pegasus of the Ethereal World".



Mr. Liu Songlin was born in Beijing in 1960. He is an Australian Chines, a famous artist in Australia. He was known as “the heaven horse of the heaven horse of the world”, “the crane from heaven” and “the messenger from the world”.

Mr. Liu is famous both at home and abroad. He is good at ink painting, oil and watercolor painting. He is the pathfinder of the new romantic painting in orient, the pioneer of Tian Ma Art and the fusion of Chinese and foreign romantic art. His students have also won many national and work-class awards. His works have been collected by some art museums and collectors in China, New Zealand, Australia, the United States, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, macao and other regions. He has created artistic illustrations and painting for  ‘Chinese children’, ‘Youth digest ’ and other publications.

Mr. Liu began to learn painting at the age of 10. At the age of 17, he was admitted to the Military and political drama troupe and studies stage art. After retirement in the 1990s, he moved to Australia and engaged in painting and calligraphy. Mr. Liu is a sciential, peaceful, philanthropic and selfless person. His rich life experiences in the army and abroad and excellent drawing skills both make his works contain the spirit of Xu Beighong, the color of Monet, the style of writing by Zhai Wuji and the innovation of Picasso. There is poetry in his works are beautiful like drawing and dancing in clear moon. His works contain both traditional Chinese and modern style, they are flexible but precise, simple but profound, the line shows spirit, the color shows thought, and the layout shows mind.

It is his lifelong pursuit which are “serve more people”, “love endless” and “love life, and express the common hope of human soul with the brush”.
